What Food Pantry to Choose?

Food insecurity is a rising issue among college students, and is only getting worse with the pandemic. Money is tight, and food may not be the first thing that comes to mind. Tuition, child care, rent, and other bills can stack up before food even becomes a thought. Food insecurity shouldn’t be an issue, especially during a pandemic. According to the University Food Bank Alliance (CUFA), 30 percent of college students are food insecure. There can be many reasons why some don’t reach out for help, either the pantry is inconveniently far away, embarrassment, or an array of other reasons. Fortunately, there are several pantries open for use by students and other community members. Depending on your zip code below, you could access a pantry that is closer to you than the pantry offered by GRCC*.
